1. Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to provide ordering and delivery services, including:

• Account information: your mobile phone number and any name or profile information you choose to provide.
• Delivery information: your delivery address, location details or map pin when provided, saved addresses, and delivery instructions.
• Order information: the items you order, order value, order time, branch, delivery status, and order history.
• Communications: information you provide when contacting customer support or communicating with us about an order.
• Technical and security information: limited information such as IP address, device and App version, login activity, and diagnostic records when needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the App.

If the App offers a map or device-location option for selecting a delivery address, you may instead enter your address manually.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Create, verify, and manage your account.
• Receive, prepare, process, and deliver your orders.
• Contact you about order confirmations, preparation, delivery, cancellations, or customer support.
• Remember saved addresses and display your order history.
• Operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App and ordering service.
• Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
• Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only when necessary to provide the service or comply with the law. Recipients may include:

• Chopsticks branches, kitchen personnel, customer-support personnel, and delivery personnel involved in fulfilling your order.
• Service providers that support mobile-number verification, messaging, application hosting, data storage, security, maintenance, and customer support.
• Professional advisers or public authorities when disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect legal rights, or required to address fraud or security concerns.

Service providers may use personal information only to perform services on our behalf and must protect it appropriately.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your information for cross-app tracking or behavioral advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain account information while your account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service. Order and transaction records may be retained for customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, and other legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it using reasonable measures.

5. Your Choices and Account Deletion

You may review or update certain account and delivery information through the App. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information through the account-deletion option in the App or by emailing info@chopstickslb.com.

After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize the information unless we must retain certain records to complete an outstanding order, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, or comply with a legal obligation. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. International Processing

Some technology or service providers may process information in countries other than Lebanon. When this occurs, we take reasonable steps to require appropriate protection for the information in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not specifically directed to children who cannot legally consent to the processing of their personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without authorization from a parent or legal guardian where such authorization is required. If you believe that a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can review and delete it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or applicable requirements. The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method.
